The Place Mahota Commune is one of those hidden gems which we thought we might never ever stumble upon. A leisure stroll to kill time one of those days led us to level three of Kitchener Complex along French Road, where the nine months’ old multi-concept store is located. The whole zen-like vibe of Mahota Commune is a stark contrast to the otherwise sleepy neighbourhood mall in Lavender, which comprises of an organic supermart, wellness studio, Mahota Kitchen, Mahota Pantry Cafe and even a TCM clinic. For those who are unfamilair to the area, Kitchener Complex is right beside Lavender MRT station and is within close proximity to other cafes and restaurants in this enclave such as The Refinery, Little Bastard, Antoinette and Red Eye Smokehouse. You will be surprised to note as well, the owners behind Mahota Commune are also the folks behind the all-familiar neighbourhood supermarket chain, Prime Supermarket.
